Adrian Bradbury


Adrian Bradbury began playing the cello at the age of seven and became principal cellist of the National Youth Orchestra. He won scholarships both to Churchill College Cambridge and  the Royal Academy of Music, going on to study with the Berlin Philharmonic principal cellist in Berlin.

Adrian is now one of our most sought-after chamber musicians. With the London Sinfonietta, Jane's Minstrels, The Composers' Ensemble, Trio Gemelli, Chamber Domaine, the Scottish Ensemble and Touchwood, he regularly tours Europe, the USA and the Far East, plays at the Wigmore Hall, the South Bank and Carnegie Hall and at major festivals Cheltenham, Huddersfield, Orkney, Turku, Aarhus and the Prom chamber music series, and records both for CD and the BBC. More lucrative recordings include singles with Boyzone and Westlife.

He  is in demand as guest principal with orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic, and has performed concertos in seven European countries.
